During President Macron's visit to China, China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CASC) and Airbus signed a significant purchase agreement for 160 Airbus aircraft, including 150 A320 series and 10 A350 aircraft, valued at approximately $20 billion. This achievement is largely attributed to the advancements in laser technology within China's aircraft manufacturing industry.

Application of Laser Technology in Aircraft Manufacturing

In aircraft manufacturing, fan-shaped blades are crucial structural components. They are composed of multiple distinct blade plates that must undergo high-temperature vacuum brazing to form complete fan-shaped blocks. Among these plates, the blades are produced through rolling, while other blade plates require laser cutting to process blade holes and meet assembly requirements.

However, ensuring dimensional and positional accuracy, as well as meeting remelted layer specifications, presents challenges. Therefore, precise laser processing technology is essential during the manufacturing process. This technology guarantees the fulfillment of all part requirements while maintaining high efficiency and quality.

Furthermore, the processing of perforated insulation screens also requires the use of laser cutting technology. These components have a conical multi-ring wave shape, with holes perpendicular to the surface, ranging in quantity from 2,000 to 100,000. Such parts are typically manufactured using sheet metal forming and welding processes, and after heat treatment, they exhibit significant residual deformation that is difficult to eliminate. Therefore, the difficulty in processing the holes is significant, necessitating the use of laser ring-cutting methods.

Moreover, the fuselage structure has special requirements that necessitate laser cutting for processing. Compared to mechanical machining methods with CNC machining centers, laser cutting offers higher efficiency and the ability to handle challenging materials like titanium alloys.
