First of all, we need to figure out what is the function of heating rod. As its name suggests, heating rod is for heating up the water. It is especially useful in low temperature areas in winter, for it can prevent water in air cooled liquid chiller from getting frozen. While in summer, the ambient temperature is generally very high, so there is no need for adding heating rod in air cooled liquid chiller.
