Recently, a client from Poland purchased a CO2 laser engraving machine and he was hesitating whether S&A Teyu small water chiller CW-3000 was suitable or not.
Well, let’s get to know the basic information of this chiller first. Water chiller CW-3000 is more like a radiator with a fan. It consists of water tank, water pump, heat exchanger, cooling fan and other related control parts, but not a compressor. As we know, compressor is the core component of the refrigeration process and a water chiller without it can not be categorized as a refrigeration based water chiller. And that’s why CW-3000 chiller indicates radiating capacity 50W/℃ instead of cooling capacity in the parameter sheets like other refrigeration chiller models do. But wait, what does radiating capacity mean anyway? Some people might ask.
Well, 50W/℃ radiating capacity means when the water temperature of small water chiller CW-3000 increases by 1℃, there will be 50W of heat taken away from the laser tube of the CO2 laser engraving machine. This chiller is able to maintain the water temperature at room temperature and suitable for cooling CO2 laser tube of below 80W.
Therefore, if users are satisfied with the fact that the water temperature is maintained at room temperature, then chiller CW-3000 is an ideal choice. If they prefer to typical 17-19 degrees Celsius required for a laser tube, then they are suggested to look at our refrigeration based water chiller CW-5000 and the above models.
