To people live in high latitude area, it is pretty annoying that the water easily gets frozen, which is very inconvenient for daily activities. In winter, it is worse and it often takes such a long time to for the frozen water to melt. Therefore, for the machine that uses water as the medium such as laser water cooling machine, it needs special treatment in winter.
Mr. Osbone from Canada purchased a S&A Teyu laser water cooling machine CWUL-10 for his UV laser marking machine 5 months ago. According to him, the water chiller CWUL-10 worked very well and the water temperature was pretty stable, which perfectly performed the protection job for the UV laser marking machine. As winter approached, the circulating water inside the water chiller started to get frozen and he turned to us for advice.
Well, preventing the laser water cooling machine from getting frozen is very easy. Users can just add the anti-freezer into the circulating water and it would be fine. If the water inside is already frozen, users can add some warm water to wait for the ice to melt and then add the anti-freezer. However, since anti-freezer is corrosive, it needs to be diluted first (users can consult us about the diluting instruction) and is not suggested for long-term use. When the weather becomes warmer, users need to drain out the anti-freezer included water and refill with new purified water or clean distilled water as the circulating water.
